This Privacy Policy sets out how Sands Canada Inc. uses and protects any information that you give Sands Canada Inc. when you use this website.

Sands Canada Inc. is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What We Collect

What We Do With The Information We Gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • To track down fraudelent account creations.  Reported to ISP.
  • Security of an account, to track down fraudulent purchases.  Reported to ISP, information about you, a purchase made, may also be sent to our payment processing company for investigation.
  • Protection against fraudulent requests sent through our contact form.  Reported to ISP.
  • Email correspondence is kept on file to help validate orders or for other reasons related to doing business with Sands Canada.

 

Email From Sands Canada

When you opt in to receive emails from Sands Canada, you are authorizing us to send you marketing emails and product specific emails (ie. recalls).   When these emails are sent out you are provided the opportunity to unsubscribe from them.  Unsubscribing using the link in the email will unsubscribe from that line of email only (ie. E-Blast).  If you wish to not receive any emails at all, please email kevin@sands.ca and simply request to not receive any emails from Sands Canada.  This request will also prevent us from emailing you in the event that there is a product recall.  You would then only recieve a form letter in the mail.

 

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.  When logged into your account your communications are encrypted between your computer and the server to help prevent any of your information from being intercepted by a third party.  We also have our safeguards tested on a daily basis by Comodo HackerGuardian service.  Also to help deter fraudulent purchases, IP addresses are logged with any order on our web site and is only viewable at the time of the order.

 

How We Use Cookies
