Official Contest Rules (please read these!)

Sands has been designing and making bags for over 20 years and in that time we get asked a lot about why we do one thing and not another.  Well, now it’s your turn to design and send us your ideas of what you think will be the Worlds Ultimate EMS bag.  If you think you have the best idea in the World, draw it, submit it and hope you have the votes to prove it.

Who can submit?

Anyone in the World over the age of 18 with an original idea for an EMS Bag can submit an entry.

When can I submit my idea and how do I do it?

You can submit NOW!  So do it today until Friday April 30, 2010.  The contest will be over before you know it.  ONE entry per person!

Your original idea can be submitted to photos@sands.ca   You can submit up to 4 photos or hand drawings or computer drawings and a brief description along with your full name, age, occupation, shipping address and email address.

By submitting your design, you guarantee that you have not knowingly used an existing design from another company.

After April 30, 2010, it may take a few weeks to make the final decision on the winning submission based on the quality of the entries.  Please be patient.   Then we have to make it.  Again, please be patient.

Voting

Votes can be placed by clicking on Review for each product and setting a rating for the design.

The top 10 submissions by votes then get submitted to our panel of professionals and they will make the final decision.  All decisions are final!

What can I submit?

Originality is what we are looking for.  Copies of other company’s bags will not be posted.  Major improvements on existing bags will be accepted after reviewing the submission. 

Please include colours (if applicable) of the exterior and the interior, dividers (if any), strapping, zippers, etc. and a brief description of the idea.

Trauma, Oxygen, Trauma/Oxygen combo, Medication, Fanny Packs, Back Pack, etc are OK!

You can submit up to 4 photos of your design in JPG format to photos@sands.ca  Please remember to include your full name, address, and description of the idea.

Who gets the winning bag?

YOU and only you!  No one else will get your bag.  Sands will not copy the winning bag design but may take ideas and incorporate them into our product line, it will be modified for production but the original remains yours and yours alone.

What is the value of the winning submission?

The value of the winning prize will vary based on material, content, size, time to design and manufacture and ship the winning Worlds Ultimate EMS Bag.

Disclaimer

Sands realizes that we may get some wild ideas but please remember that there is only so much we can do with material, foam and thread.  If the winning submission has something that just can’t be done, we will contact the winner to discuss the options.

Because this is a World Wide Contest for the World’s Ultimate EMS Bag, and laws vary from country to country, Sands will only pay for all shipping charges but we are not responsible for any import, customs and duties charges that may apply to getting you the winning prize.

Once the winner has been notified, Sands will make the winning submission and feature the bag on our web site.
