CLEANING GUIDELINES

• Always wear personal protection equipment when cleaning packs. (i.e., gloves, mask, eye goggles, etc.).
• Always follow your departments SOP's for cleaning over our recommendations.
• Remove all inner lining and shoulder straps that can be removed.
• Always remove all medical equipment, so pack is completely empty.
• Treat stains with a household stain remover such as Fantastic, Formula 409 or similar product, but first test for color fastness in an inconspicuous area. Some of these chemicals can and will change the fabric color.
• We DO NOT recommend machine washing of the packs, as they CAN be DAMAGED on spin cycle.  Our warranty does NOT cover packs damaged due to machine washing. We recommend hand washing with soap/water or house hold detergent.
• If caustic materials such as gasoline, diesel fuel, oil, or anti-freeze need to be cleaned. Follow your department’s protocol and safety guidelines.
• Hang to dry in a well ventilated, dry area.
• For Infection Control Cleaning NFPA 1581 guidelines in sterilization and disinfecting should be followed whenever possible. Any foam padding should be removed prior to cleaning. If possible, allow 2 or 3 days to air dry if padding can not be removed.
• Treat with a fabric protector.
• Helpful Hint - when opening and closing zippers pull slightly outward, this will reduce binding.
• To clean urethane or Vinyl, Scrubbing Bubbles has been proven to take care of film and dirt. Make sure all clear windows are wiped dry, to keep condensation and mold from forming.
